Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Teresa and Joe Giudice plead guilty to fraud charges in a NJ court today. The husband and wife duo plead guilty to bankruptcy fraud, conspiracy to commit mail fraud and wire fraud and failing to pay taxes. Teresa agreed to pay back the $200,000.
Joe could face up to 46 months in and Teresa would get a shorter sentence at up to 27 months. Joe also faces deportation since he is not an American citizen and would have to serve his time first and then be deported. Teresa’s lawyer Henry Klingeman released a statement, saying, “Today, I took responsibility for a series of mistakes I made several years ago. I am heartbroken that this is affecting my family — especially my four young daughters, who mean more to me than anything in the world.” The couple have Gia, 13, Gabriella, 9, Miliani, 8, and Audriana, 4.
