Remember when Tom Cruise and Penelope Cruz dated a long time ago…well now sources claim (in Vanity Fair) they split over her reluctance to convert to Scientology. The former couple dated for three years after his divorce from Nicole Kidman and before his marriage to Katie Holmes. Crus is a devout Buddist and refused to change her religion, even though she did take Scientology classes and auditing sessions, but she was allegedly branded “dilettante” by Church leader and close Cruise confidante David Miscavige. They then split over differences in religion.
Crus is now married to Javier Bardem and have a son Leo, 19 months. Maybe Cruz will confirm or deny the story…
