Tracy Morgan Released From Rehab, Suing Wal-Mart

Tracy Morgan, famous for being on SNL and 30 Rock was released from rehab and will continue his recovery at home with an “aggressive outpatient program” after a car crash left him seriously hospitalized and killed his friend comedian, James McNair. Tracy had been riding in a limousine van when the vehicle was when was crashed into by a Walmart truck on the New Jersey Turnpike last month.

According to THR, Morgan plans to sue Walmart for negligence (as the friver Kevin Roper was allegedly fatigued at the time of the crash and may have fallen asleep at the wheel).”Walmart was careless and negligent in the ownership and operation of its motor vehicle, which caused Mr. Morgan to suffer severe personal injuries. As a direct and proximate result of said collision, Mr. Morgan was caused to sustain severe painful bodily injuries, including but not limited to multiple fractures which required multiple surgeries, extensive medical treatment and will require significant physical rehabilitation.”

The plaintiffs which include Morgan, his Morgan’s assistant, Jeffrey Millea, (his wife Krista Millea) and comedian Ardie Fuqua and are looking for compensatory and statutory damages, punitive damages, legal fees.
