Remember when an un-retouched photo of Cindy Crawford leaked and went viral on the Internet and the magazine Marie Claire confirmed it was real. Well now the photographer on the shoot, John Russo says the photo is a fake and has been altered. “It has been falsely claimed that this photograph represents an un-retouched image of Cindy Crawford. This is not true,” Russo said in a statement to ABCNews saying the photo was “stolen or unlawfully accessed and then altered and distributed to the media. It is a fraudulent altered version of my photograph. I am grateful that this fact has been brought to the public’s attention and that corrections are being run in the media.”
The photo was praised for showing a realistic photo of the beauty, especially after children. But the photo has now come into to question and Cindy’s lawyer has sent out a letter to TMZ and all who used the photo to take it down and apologize.
I was hesitant about the photo at first because I truly believe it was not how Cindy looked but when Marie Claire Mexico said it was real…well then i had to believe them. Why would they lie?
