Usher’s former stepson, Kile Glover son of Tameka Foster was laid to rest yesterday in Atlanta after being taken off life support last week. Glover suffered a injury to the head on July 7th after a jet ski hit him and a young female while they were on an inner tube. He was buried at a nearby cemetery.

Usher’s former stepson, Kile Glover, was laid to rest today in Atlanta just days after he was taken off life support after sustaining what ultimately was a fatal head injury in a July 7 personal watercraft accident.

Family and friends of the singer’s ex-wife, Tameka Foster, gathered at the Wieuca Road Baptist Church in Buckhead for a moving memorial service mourning the loss of the 11-year-old, who is the son of Foster and clothier-turned-TV executive Ryan Glover.

The funeral also included a somber recessional led by a trumpeter before Kile was buried at a nearby cemetery.
The younger Glover was riding in an inner tube that was being towed by a boat on Lake Lanier in north Georgia when he was struck by a personal watercraft driven by family friend Jeffrey Hubbard. Kile was airlifted to a children’s hospital in Atlanta but was unresponsive and later declared brain dead.
The family made the painful decision to remove him from life support last Saturday, and Kile passed away from heart failure shortly thereafter.

In lieu of flowers, his mom asked followers on her Twitter page to make a contribution to the Kile Glover Fund at Bank of America, whose goal is to increase water safety through the implementation of laws, policies and education.
