Lena Dunham’s Vogue photo spread has come under scrutiny for the allegedly over retouching of her image…well at least according to Jezebel. They put a bounty on the photos…$10,000 for the original unretouched photos of Lena and then….like magic… photos appeared. The images were retouched just like most magazine photos…a little nip and tuck with a lot of brightening.
Vogue did do a subtle response…they released a photo from the shoot showing Lena with a pigeon on her head after Jezebel claimed Vogue added the bird into the photo. The altered images looks like most magazine photos, we should be immune to it by now…no one looks as perfect as they do in the magazines…not even Gisele or Miranda…everyone has flaws! Lena was a bit frustrated by the situation, she tweeted, “Some s–t is just too ridiculous to engage. Let’s use our energy wisely, 2014. 10k? Give it to charity then just order HBO.”
