The official autopsy results are not out yet but law enforcement say that Whitney Houston had water in lungs confirming that she may have drowned or she was dead before she entered the water.
The autopsy of Whitney Houston revealed she did have water in her lungs when she died, but the medical examiner needs to determine exactly how much before they can rule whether she died as a result of drowning … law enforcement sources tell TMZ.
As TMZ first reported, authorities believe Houston may have fallen asleep or lapsed into unconsciousness in the bathtub and drowned.
But according to our sources, authorities cannot yet determine whether Houston died before she was submerged in the water or after. We’re told there is still a possibility Houston was dead before she went under the water.
Toxicology results will be back in 4-6 weeks.

As TMZ first reported, Bobbi Kristina was taken to the hospital once last night and again this morning. We’ve been told she was “hysterical, exhausted and inconsolable.”
Sources close to the family tell TMZ … the family believes she might try and take her own life. According to one source, the family feels Bobbi Kristina needs help and they are considering rehab as an option.
Bobbi got into it with cops last night after she was barred from seeing her mother’s body.
