Mel B. has finally come to the defense of her husband, Stephen Belafonte after a slew of abuse rumors. The X Factor judge took to Instagram to slam the rumor that Stephen had hit her after she appeared to have a bruise on her face during an X Factor taping and was later hospitalized with a mystery illness. She wrote, “This is for my fans havin problems with my Twitter will be back soon! I’m very good was very polly but much better now and for the record my hubby never would lay a hand on me sorry took so long but any response fuels rumors #lovemyfamily #lovemyfans.”
Belafonta has always denied abusing Mel. writing on Twitter, “Idon’t usually respond to Twitter msgs but I will respond to comments of hitting my wife which I think are quite disgusting un true!” Mel’s oldest daughter, Phoenix even defended her stepfather, “Can everyone just chill he didn’t hit my mom don’t know how that stupid [rumor] came up.”
