Maroon 5 in Concert on NBC's "Today Show" at Rockefeller Center in New York City - September 1, 2014

Jimmy Kimmel is not behind this prank!!! Adam Levine was smacked with a bag of sugar outside of his Jimmy Kimmel Live appearance. We all know that Maroon 5 has a hit song called,” Sugar,” but that by no means he wanted to get hit…in the face…with a bag of sugar. Levine was outside the studio around 8 p.m. signing autographs for fans when a man Navid Farsi, 28, threw a bag of powdered sugar at the singer. He was later arrested on suspicion of battery and is being held on $100,000 bail.

Navid is the same man who threw a rock at Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson last week and was arrested LAPD Officer Liliana Preciado, a spokeswoman, told ABC News.

Levine showed a lot of class and just walked away from the situation but was visibly upset. A rep for Jimmy Kimmel Live released a statement to ABC News, reading, “Immediately after the incident occurred, ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ security followed protocol and alerted LAPD, who responded quickly and are looking into the situation.”

Some crazy mother fucker just did this to #ADAMLEVINE #MAROON5 & I got the shot!!! I feel sooo bad for him!!!
