Alicia Keys and her hubby Swizz Beatz just bought a $12 million home in New Jersey from comedian Eddie Murphy. The deal on the home is almost closed after being delayed a few months. “The closing has been delayed for months but they’re almost there,” said a local real estate source close to the deal who wished to remain anonymous to the NY DailyNews. “When she closes, she’ll buy the two-acre lot behind the house, too.” The home boasts, a bowling alley, indoor pool, marble fireplaces, and private recording studio along with a wood-clad spa with multiple stations for hair and makeup. The home is just 20 minutes from NYC, right across the George Washington Bridge, so it would be an easy commute for something wanting to get into the city most days.
They can certainly afford the home, but maybe Keys wants to give her son Egypt some grass to run on instead of the usual concrete jungle she calls NYC.
