Amanda Bynes said sayonara to LA and headed to NYC this weekend. Bynes recently said she was moving to NY to launch her fashion line, but she was just wandering the city aimlessly. She previously said she preferred NY because she did not get followed like she does in LA.
Amanda Bynes bolted out of L.A. this weekend and thankfully headed to a city where public transportation is readily available … the Big Apple!
Witnesses who spotted Amanda in NYC tell TMZ … the actress was aimlessly wandering around mid-town for hours on Saturday.
But get this — Amanda is telling friends the reason she jetted off to New York … is because she was tired of being followed in L.A. — something she says doesn’t happen in NYC.
Bynes now tells friends she NEVER wants to come back to L.A, which is interesting timing considering her parents JUST moved to CA from TX to be closer to their daughter.
TMZ broke the story … Amanda was slapped with two counts of driving on a suspended license on Friday … she faces up to 6 months in jail for each offense.
Bynes friends are upset with her parents for not jumping in to help their troubled daughter. But Bynes has cut off almost all communication with her family including her siblings.
According to TMZ’s sources, Amanda’s friends do not understand why her family is not being more aggressive when it comes to her well being. We’re told her friends are perplexed why they are just standing by and watching Amanda self-destruct. Our sources say her friends (who feel they have done all they can) want her family to literally break down her door and drag her to get to help.
