Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan should have been celebrating their Emmy for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host, but instead the duo didn’t even know they had won amid all the drama from a two weeks ago. Kelly and Michael walked out with their Emmy awards. “We won an Emmy!” Kelly said turning to Michael and adding, “Cheers to you” and tapped his award with hers. They did not attend the ceremony in L.A. over the weekend.
“I didn’t even realize that we won an Emmy until I started getting text messages from my friends,” Kelly said this morning on Live!. With Michael adding, “You and I are in the same boat!” Michael then turned to the staff and said, “I know we sit up here in front of the camera, but they’re the ones that make this show work. It’s about a team. Congratulations to everyone here at Live!”
Strahan’s last day will be May 13. And things were tense last week after Kelly threw a few subliminal to Michael or at least that’s what it seemed like.
