Katy Perry "Killer Queen" Fragrance Launch at Douglas Parfumerie Store in Berlin on September 25, 2013

Barbara Walters apologized for ‘shading’ Katy Perry on Monday’s episode of The View. “Katy, if I made you feel at all unhappy, during a time when you were obviously unhappy, and I didn’t know, I’m sorry. But you can’t always know!” Katy dished to Billboard magazine at the scolding she got from Walters when she was late to the  her “10 Most Fascinating People of 2011” interview. Katy explained, “I shouldn’t have done the interview: I was playing Madison Square Garden that same night, and I knew that the end of my marriage [to Russell Brand] was coming. I was just exhausted and stressed.”

“When I got there, I apologized immediately, but then she said to me, ‘You know, I’ve only ever waited for one other person this long, and you know who that person was? Judy Garland. You know how she turned out, right?’ I was like, ‘Oh, snap! Yes, b*tch!’ I think it’s the coolest thing that Barbara Walters shaded me. I just couldn’t tell her as we were sitting down for a mega-interview, ‘Hey, my marriage is falling apart. Give me a break.’ “

On a side note check out Katy’s new fragrance Killer Queen by Katy Perry. “When I was creating Killer Queen, I was really inspired by the idea of a strong, confident woman in power and that is exactly what I hoped to put into this fragrance, something that brings out the power inside of you.”
