Bill Cosby was charged with sexual assault today at his Pennsylvania home. A warrant for Cosby’s arrest over the 2004 drugging and sexual assault case of Andrea Constand. She was an operations manager for Temple University’s women’s basketball team at the time of the incident, which occurred in January 2004 after Cosby invited Constand to his home and he offered her pills to relax which she reportedly took. She became motionless and she says Cosby assaulted her on the couch.
Cosby was arrested and his mug shot hit the internet. But his lawyer plans to fight the case all the way. “The charge by the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office came as no surprise, filed 12 years after the alleged incident and coming on the heels of a hotly contested election for this county’s DA during which this case was made the focal point,” Cosby’s attorneys said in a statement released after his arraignment Wednesday. “Make no mistake, we intend to mount a vigorous defense against this unjustified charge and we expect that Mr. Cosby will be exonerated by a court of law.”
Bail was set at $1 million, which Cosby posted!
