Blake Livley debuted her new red hair yesterday at the 2011 Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World Gala and everyone went crazy. Its such a departure form her signature blonde hair! Blake explained that the red hair id for a new movie role.
It’s for the film Hick,†Lively told PEOPLE. “I thought [my character] needed red hair. It helps when you’re playing a role, when I don’t feel like myself. And I don’t really feel like myself with red hair.†Colorist Rona O’Connor transformed Lively’s locks about a month ago, although no one seemed to notice, the actress said. So how does she like her new look? “I love it,†she gushed. “I feel like Ariel.â€
