Months after the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown its finally clear what the cause of death was a combination of drugs and drowning—including marijuana, alcohol, “a cocaine-related substance,” sedative, anti-anxiety medications and morphine, a the Fulton County Medical Examiner revealed on Friday. But her death could not be determined to be intentional or accidental.
Brown’s body also had depressions in her skull and bruises (and many healed scars all over her body).
“The underlying cause of death is the condition which starts the downhill course of events leading to death and in this case is the immersion associated with drug intoxication,” the medical examiner’s office said in the statement. “The pneumonia and encephalopathy are more immediate causes which resulted from the immersion and drug intoxication.”
Today would have been Bobbi’s 23rd birthday. Her father Bobby Brown has released a statement after learning of the released autopsy. “First and foremost, 23 years ago today, Bobbi Kristina was born. Krissy will always live in my heart and soul. I love my baby girl. For news affiliates to seek and obtain my daughter’s autopsy report, before anyone has been brought to justice for her death is mind blowing to me. Please pray for my family.”
