Boy George showed off a mean shiner on Twitter over the weekend. He has since taken the tweet down but he says a fan tried to grab his hat at a club in England and she  struck him in the eye. Ouch! She was then thrown out!
According to Yahoo UK,
He was leaving Amadeus nightclub in Northallerton at the weekend when a “drunken and aggressive woman lunged for his hat – and in doing so hit him in the eye,” his spokesman told the Daily Mail.
The former Culture Club star’s spokesman added that the woman was then asked to leave.
Boy George, real name George O’Dowd, shared a picture on Twitter which he has since taken down with the caption: “Looking pretty after being assaulted on Saturday night! Nice!”
The 50-year-old DJ later added a shot of his swollen eye with a patriotic cover-up, tweeting: “Poor Christine having to make up only one eye after an incident in a club last night I have on big bruised eye! Sweet!”
He added: “The genius of Christine! One eye Joe! I have a gig so had to be clever! Quite Left Eye innit!”
It is reported he will not be pressing charges against the woman who hit him in the eye.
