Its official, Brad Pitt may be making an honest woman out of Angelina Jolie…after 6 kids and a ton of years together, they are engaged. But is a wedding on the horizon…not so fast the couple have no wedding plans yet.
A rep for Pitt confirmed the news to ET and said that while no wedding date has been set, the engagement represents “a promise for the future.” The rep added that “their kids are very happy” and also confirmed earlier reports that the Moneyball star was heavily involved in designing an engagement ring for Jolie. The couple has three biological children as well as three adopted.
Beverly Hills jeweler Robert Procop told ET that he collaborated on the ring design with Pitt, who “had a specific vision for this ring.” Procop added: “He wanted every aspect of it to be perfect, so Robert was able to locate a diamond of the finest quality and cut it to an exact custom size and shape to suite Angelina’s hand. Brad was always heavily involved, overseeing every aspect of the creative design evolution.”
Procop — the former CEO of British jeweler Asprey & Garrard which served the British royal family — had this to say about the ring’s quality: “The side diamonds are specialty cut to encircle her finger. Each diamond is of the highest gem quality.”
