Camila Cabello has left the building! This morning Fifth Harmony released a statement confirming Camila’s departure today, but she has released her own statement claiming the group knew of her plans to go solo and knew she planned to leave soon. She adds she did not tell her bandmates that she was leaving “via her representatives” adding “simply not true.”

“When I turned 15, I had the blessing of being put into a group with four very talented girls,” Cabello wrote on Twitter. “We were 5 strangers that weren’t even aware of each other’s existence that were given a shot at one dream together. It’s been almost 5 years and the most important chapter of my life thus far. I am so proud of everything we’ve achieved together as a group and will always be proud of being a part of it.”

A source tells People, the ladies weren’t getting along, “They hadn’t gotten along. Camila never made it a secret she planned to do her own thing eventually.” But another source added, “I don’t think anyone is surprised from our side. Camila has been a pioneer and has really gone out there and had some great collaborations. We knew it was only a matter of time.” But a third source says the ladies are not upset with Camila. “That was never their issue because they all have solo projects in the works. The girls will be making huge announcements for the group and their solo endeavors in January.”

Another source tells TMZ that she gave notice of her depature a month ago.

We’ll see how this plays out! The group was formed during the second season of The XFactor in 2012. The ladies went on to gain hits like “Worth It, “Work from Home,” “Bo$$” and “Sledgehammer.”
