Chad Johnson Pleads Not Guilty in Battery Charge!

Yesterday, Chad Johnson was officially charged with battery, stemming from the domestic violence incident in which he allegedly headbutted his wife, Evelyn Lozada last month and he has pleaded not guilty! Johnson was not in court to enter his plea, his lawyer was. He could have face upto a year in jail if convicted.

Chad Johnson insists he’s no wife beater … and entered a “not guilty” plea to misdemeanor battery this morning for the alleged attack on his wife Evelyn Lozada last month.

TMZ broke the story, Chad was charged with battery yesterday following his domestic violence arrest in Florida on August 11th.

According to Chad’s wife, the former NFL player headbutted her during a massive argument that erupted over a condom receipt. If convicted, Chad faces up to a year in jail.

Evelyn has since filed for divorce.

Chad’s attorney entered the ex-football star’s plea in Broward County Court this morning. Chad was not there.
