Star Trek actor Chris Pine was arrested in New Zealand for drunk driving. Pine, who was in the country filming Z for Zachariah, was celebrating the end of filming at the bar, Blue Pub on Feb. 28 with girlfriend, Iris Bjork Johannesdottir. The manager at the bar Casey Crawford said the actor was drinking beer and did not looked intoxicated when he left the establishment at around, 2:30 a.m.. Pine even stopped to take photos with fans. “He looked like he just wanted to spend time with his partner,” Crawford told Christchurch newspaper The Press.
But Pine was later arrested and charged on March 1 with driving with a blood-alcohol level over the legal limit which is .08 percent in New Zealand. he had been stopped during a routine check point.
