Chris Rock has a new documentary for a film called “Good Hair”. He decided to make the film after his daughter asked him why she didn’t have good hair. He interviews and discusses hair and hair issues in the African American community. Often times people call coarse hair-“bad hair”. But bad is not a term used for hair…the hair is coarse, not bad. People have given coarse hair a bad name by calling it bad or kinky. Â I think that gives people a complex that they don’t have straight hair or what people would call “Good”. It’s all just dumb…Hair is not bad…it’s not angry. I don’t know…what do you think? Do you call coarse hair-“Bad”? If someone asks me what kind of hair I have…I say I have thin, curly hair.
