The contestants on The Voice are going to get a little help from Coldplay’s frontman, Chris Martin. Martin will join the show as a mentor to all four teams as they enter into the the second phase of the Battles Round beginning March 31. Check for Martin to make an her first appearance on that show on April 1 and 7. Executive producer Mark Burnett was very excited for the new mentor, “He’s such an authentic voice in the industry. We could not be happier. There’s a massive level of respect from the singers and the surprise from them (when they met him) : ‘Whoa! Chris Martin. Wow!’ ”
