Fifty Shades of Grey may be getting panned by critics…for not being sexy or particularly graphic (like the book), but that didn’t stop fans from heading out to theaters in hoards. The erotic thriller is set to make about $82 million over the Valetine’s Day weekend, which will make it the highest-grossing Presidents Day holiday opener of all time according to Variety. But the movie will bank over $90 million over the four day President’s weekend.
Fifty Shades only cost about $4o million, so its a success and the sequels are soon to follow. Will Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan be on board for the followups? I’m pretty sure Jamie’s wife will not happy about that.
