The Met Gala is like the Superbowl of fashion on speed. We look to see what celebs and the stylists will come up with for that year’s theme. This 2019 Met Gala theme was all about Camp—-not camping—but the over the top, extreme unrealistic fashion kind of camp.
Model extraordinaire Ashley and Revlon Brand Ambassador wore a beautiful and very accessible makeup look to the Met Gala. Her hair was another story!
Ashley’s makeup was created by Celebrity Makeup Artist Kate Synnott. Synnott drew most of her inspiration from Ashley’s Dapper Dan x Gucci Look. She started by applying Revlon PhotoReady Candid™ Natural Finish Anti-Pollution Foundation in Honey Beige #270 to create Ashley’s glowing skin.
Then she moved on to Kate’s eyes—was edgy and “camp” so she opted to line the eye with Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner in Jade #206 and then use Revlon ColorStay Looks Book Eye Shadow Palettes in Original #900 to make them pop even more. Kate finished the bold eye with Revlon So Fierce Mascara in Blackest Black.
For Kate’s cheeks she used Revlon Blush in Bronzed Beauty to sculpt Ashley’s cheek bones and give an all-over shimmer. And lastly was Ashley’s lips in which Kate fused the Revlon Ultra HD Metallic Matte Liquid Lipcolor in HD Gleam.
All makeup is available at Revlon.com and drugstores.
Now on to Ashley’s hair look which was created by celebrity hairstylist, Justine Marjan who started with a sleek ponytail and used this springs biggest accessory—the hair pin! Justine mixed her own Kitsch hairpins along with ones from Gucci and Jennifer Behr for a truly unique look with a lot of texture. I loved it!!! Obviously its not for everyday and its over the top, but that what made her stand out!
