Jennifer Lawrence is set to play Fidel Castro’s German lover Marita Lorenz in ‘Marita.’ The movie would follow Marita when at just 19, she meets and begins an affair with Cuban leader Fidel Castro in 1959. She soon departs Cuba for the U.S. where she joins the anti-communists movement and is recruited by CIA for an assassination mission of Castro. When she returns to Cuba for the mission she allegedly chose love instead!
Jennifer Lawrence just keep picking winners in the movie department. Sounds like an interesting choice…maybe even award worthy if done right! Eric Warren Singer, co-writer of American Hustle is attached to the movie.
