Jennifer Lopez does not want Idol contestants to sing her songs in their auditions…maybe she is doing them a favor, she has had some hits, but they may not show much vocal range!
“It was cute, super entertaining and flattering, but no,” the pop diva said of contestants who failed to make it through Thursday’s round of auditions in Los Angeles by performing one of her hits.
“They know we’re not out to cut them down or make a joke of them,” she said. “We’re trying to mentor them to the next step.”
