Jessica Alba has some advice for Beyonce and Jay-Z….sell Baby Blue’s first photos to minimize the chaos that could occur from photographers wanting the first photos of the sweet baby, which could go for thousands or more. Jessica says she put the money she made from the photos ($1.5 million) in the bank for when her daughter, Honor gets older.
Jessica Alba has some parenting advice for Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles.
Appearing on CNN, the actress told “Showbiz Tonight†host A.J. Hammer that the celebrity power couple should sell the first photos of daughter Blue Ivy Carter and invest the money in a trust fund.
“For our family, we just wanted to control the experience,†Alba said of her own deal with daughter Honor, now 3. The actress, 30, and husband Cash Warren reportedly banked $1.5 million from OK! magazine for the exclusive 2008 photo shoot.
“We put the money that the picture made into a bank account for Honor to do whatever she wants to do with,†she continued. “It’s her picture, it’s her birth, and we didn’t want it to be like a weird thing when we were walking out of the house for the first time.â€
Alba further explained that her decision to sell the newborn photos was a strategic move to avoid paparazzi from getting too close.
“If there’s a price tag on your child – which is so bizarre – people will go to crazy lengths. We wanted to avoid that hysteria,” she said.
Alba, who welcomed second daughter, Haven, last August, said the experience was enjoyable.
“We were friends with the photographer. It was just a nice day in the house,†she shared. “We’ll have those beautiful pictures forever. You can give the money to charity and to your baby and that’s it. But the biggest thing is having a healthy baby … I’m sure Beyonce will make the best decision for her family.
Technically Beyonce  doesn’t have to sell the photos, she could just release her own photos and end all the public interest in the baby.
