On this weeks episode of The Biggest Loser trainer Jillian Michaels was called a cheater for giving her contestants caffeine pills without the permission of a doctor. During the episode host Allison Sweeney told the contestants, “Last week Jillian broke the rules and gave caffeine supplements to each member of her team without a doctor’s permission,” therefore they decided to bring back castoff Ruben Studdard. But Michaels says she did not cheat saying, “the issue is not whether caffeine can be used by contestants, it is whether the caffeine is provided by a trainer or by the producers. I felt it is much safer and healthier for the contestants, who are losing significant weight, to have regulated doses of caffeine, which is allowed on the show to provide an energy boost, rather than having unlimited caffeine.”

According to E!News, Michaels hinted that the cheating scandal was a ploy to get Ruben back on the show. When a fan tweeted, “She was used by the show for a reason to bring a famous contestant back” Jillian tweeted back, “you’re spot on.”
