Figure skating champion Johnny Weir and his boyfriend Victor Voronov tied the knot on New Year’s Eve. “I’m married!” he Tweeted. “No more livin’ in sin!”
While “all the official stuff is done,” the stylish star, 27, Tweeted, there will be a wedding in the summer.
Among those offering up their congratulations to the couple: former Real Housewives of New York star Jill Zarin.
Although the openly gay figure skater has famously made headlines for butting heads – namely with Olympic gold medalist Evan Lysacek and Bethenny Frankel while he was a judge on Skating with the Stars – he said that Voronov was “kind of everything that I’ve ever looked for” in an interview with IceNetwork.com.
Weir wasn’t the only one gushing. “Ringing in the New Year with my new hubby,” Voronov, a Georgetown University law school graduate, according to his Twitter, wrote with a telling hashtag: “#ELATED.”
