Its been over a decade (15 years to be exact) since Justin Timberlake left ‘NSYNC, but people still ask the Oscar nominee ( for his song, Can’t Stop The Feeling in Trolls) about his time as a boy bander. In an interview with THR, Timberlake explains he grew out of the group and wanted to perform more mature music (Zayn Malik?). “We were on a stadium tour, and I just felt like the whole thing was too big,” Timberlake said “It started as a fun snowball fight that was becoming an avalanche. And, also, I was growing out of it.”

“I felt like I cared more about the music than some of the other people in the group,” he added. “And I felt like I had other music I wanted to make and that I needed to follow my heart.”

This might scare One Direction fans—-but *NSYNC went on hiatus in 2002 and um never came back—and are still on hiatus we think!
