Karl Lagerfeld is getting a lot of flack for calling Adele, “A little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice.” Karl now claims that that the comment was made out of context and has apologized.
“I’d like to say to Adele that I am your biggest admirer. Sometimes when you take a sentence out of the article it changes the meaning of the thought. What I said was in relation to Lana Del Rey and the sentence has since been taken out of context from how it was originally published. I actually prefer Adele, she is my favorite singer and I am a great admirer of her. I lost over 30 kilos over 10 years ago and have kept it off. I know how it feels when the press is mean to you in regards to your appearance. Adele is a beautiful girl. She is the best. And I can’t wait for her next CD.â€
Adele is ‘proud’ of her body she tells People,
“I’ve never wanted to look like models on the cover of magazines,” she says. “I represent the majority of women and I’m very proud of that.”
Adele  says her line of work has nothing to do with weight.
‘I’d lose weight if I was an actress and had to play a role where you’re supposed to be 40 pounds lighter, but weight has nothing to do with my career. Even when I was signing (a contract), most of the industry knew if anyone ever dared say (lose weight) to me, they wouldn’t be working with me.’
I think Adele will not be working with Karl anytime soon!
