Kathy Griffin may have looked up to Joan Rivers as a comedic mentor and trailblazer, but she has no plans to take over for her late friend on Fashion Police. Kathy addressed the rumor on Twitter when she wrote, “Just 2 clarify. I have not contacted E! & they have not contacted me.” So there you have it Kathy has not been approached to sit in Joan’s seat as the comic relief in a sea of good and bad Hollywood fashion choices.
I’m pretty sure that anyone who takes over will have huge shoes to fill and of course at first it will be tough especially with the comparisons to Joan…who was on point at all times with her jokes. Fashion Police will return in January with Kelly Osbourne, Giuliana Rancic, George Kotsiopoulos and the still unknown co-host. But if someone were to take over Kathy would have probably gotten Joan’s approval since they were such buddies.
