Kevin Clash, who was forced to resign as the puppeteer of ‘Elmo,’ has been cleared of the child sex charges he had been slapped with last year. The child sex charged have been dropped. Clash had been accused of having sex with three underage men while he was working for Sesame Street as ‘Elmo.’ A federal judge found that the young men took to long to file charges, as the statue of limitations is just three after their 18th birthdays. Clash has always said the young men were of legal age when he was involved with them and the relationships were consensual.
