Lady Gaga may be the a Twitter queen with millions of fans all over the world but there are some who have not jumped on the Gaga bandwagon and some Christian Youth protested her upcoming concerts in the Philippines! Earlier in the week there were Islamic protests over the singer over the top sexy persona.

A rally was organized by several Christian youths on Friday in hopes of getting Gaga’s concerts scheduled for next week in Pasay City canceled.

The protesters, in particular, had a problem with the “Born This Way” singer’s song “Judas,” which they believe mocks Jesus Christ.

However, despite the best efforts of the group called Biblemode Youth Philippines, the shows set for May 21 and 22 will go on as planned.

“Although we respect artistic and musical expressions, I won’t allow anyone or any group to provide acts which may be questionable in a way at any venue under my jurisdiction,” Pasay City Mayor Antonino Calixto said in a statement. “We reminded the producers of Lady Gaga’s concert that the show and the event as a whole shall not exhibit any nudity or lewd contact which may be offensive to morals and good customs.”

Meanwhile, the production team behind Gaga’s show released a statement as well, stating “the performance of Lady Gaga will not pose a threat to the general public’s sense of morality and conduct – especially the youth – as these groups have warned.”

Gaga’s Asian tour, which kicked off in late April, faced a similar protest in South Korea, where Christian groups insisted her “pornographic” performances promoted homosexuality.
