A man claiming to be Lamar Odom’s assistant attempted to gain access to the former NBA player at the hospital on Monday night. According to TMZ, hospital workers grew suspicious of the man who claimed he came all the was from Las Vegas to visit his friend. Then man showed up at 11pm and was able to get to Lamar’s floor before being stopped by security. He says Lamar wanted to see him, but a source say tha guy knows Lamar and could be associated with Lamar’s drug use.The men may have even lived together at some pount, but he was fired by Lamar’s management, which prompted him to head to see Lamar in L.A. he was escorted out, but not before causing a scene.
On a side note Lamar’s emergency surgery may be linked to lungs damage. “It’s two steps forward, then a step back, but it does feel like some progress is being made, little by little. There’s still a black cloud, like, ‘Okay, what’s next?’ ” the source told People. “The pneumonia was a huge setback, and now there’s worry about permanent scarring of the lungs. His kidneys are still not functioning correctly, but he’s nowhere near strong enough to even think of a transplant, so he’s on dialysis.”
