Lorde did not lip sync on Saturday Night Live—according to Lorde. The pop star took to Twitter to dispel any rumors that she did not sing live, “wow – the fact that some people thought i was lip syncing on snl is an awesome compliment! goes without saying i have never/will never haha. we’re just a bunch of kids from far away places and we played on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE! it’s all a bit overwhelming and i’m crazy grateful.” Disclosure who brought out Sam Smith and Lorde to join them on SNL tweeted, “@lordemusic haha! Amazing #1TakeWonder.” Lorde usually preaches being authentic so it woulnd’t really be me MO to lip sing unless she is sick possibly!
On a side note, SNL dedicated their episode to those lost in the Paris attacks over the weekend.
