Mariah Carey may as well be called Mrs. Christmas, she’s usually so full of the holiday spirit but last night she disappointed her fans when she showed up late to a performance. Maraih was set to preform at the Rockefeller Center tree lighting ceremony for a pre-taped segment of the ceremony, but she showed up three hours late all while fans were left waiting in the rain. According to TMZ, when Mariah did show up she stood in her car on the phone with her lawyer. NBC execs were highly upset and told her to go home. She wanted to perform and not disappoint her fans but things just did not work out.
E! reports that Mariah did not want to perform in the rain, but she did apologize but did not divulge the details behind the pre-taped performance confusion.”Last night’s situation was beyond my control. I apologize to all that showed up, you know that I would never want to disappoint you. You’ve kept me here, in your hearts, and I keep you in mine always. We are #lambily! #ThereForMe. I will be opening tonight’s live show in Rockefeller center with “All I Want For Christmas Is You”!!!! Tune in at 8pm on NBC!”
