Mariah Carey is on her way to a comeback despite the fact that she never really went anywhere. Mariah and her longtime publicist Cindi Berger and has moved on to Chamber Group’s Chris Chambers, whose clients include Drake, Lil Wayne and Quvenzhané Wallis according to PageSix.

“Mariah is creating a whole new team around her,” an insider said. “New life, new relationships, new label, new management, new publicist, new residency, new, well, everything.”

Mariah recently signed a deal to head back to Sony and will debut her part-time residency in Las Vegas in May! MC is looking for a fresh start. “Mariah’s done a lot of soul-searching . . . and when she went into the studio to start work on her new album, she felt more happy and free than she ever had and realized she wanted a fresh start.”

And no…Nick Cannon will not be releasing a tell-all book according to Extra. “It’s a sad state where people can just make up whatever they want and it actually becomes news. People like to perpetuate negativity, and it’s really sad when you see people feed into it.”
