‘Friends with benefits’ did not work for Mila and Ashton in the traditional sense—since now they are married with one daughter and a baby on the way but it did become relationship goals. Mila stopped by The Howard Stern Show and explained how she went from friends to married with Ashton Kutcher, back in 2012 after bumping into each other at an awards show. “I see this guy and I see his back and he’s really tall. Then he just turns around and it was literally like if we were in a movie, the music would start playing and the violins would go. I think for the first time ever he took my breath away – I was like f—, he’s good-looking.”

Ashton invited Mila to his housewarming party and well—she never left. “So, I went over, long story short — I didn’t leave ’till the next morning. And that was the first time, ever, that I’d ever slept over when I was single… at a guy’s house. Well, I’ll tell you this much, he didn’t let me leave. At two in the morning I was like, ‘I’m gonna call an Uber! See you later.’ And he was like, ‘You’re crazy!’ And I was like, ‘Bye! (laughs)’ Like, when I was single, I was so adamant about never, as stupid as it sounds, never staying over at a guy’s house. I was, like, peacing out, and he was like, ‘You’re not leaving.’ And that was the first time and only time.”

Ashton and Mila had both ended high profile relatiosnhips—Demi Moore and Macaulay Culkin.

She continued, “We, oddly, both did a movie called — I did Friends With Benefits, he did a movie called No Strings Attached. If we just paid attention to these movies, we should know that sh*t like this does not work out in real life. Well, we clearly didn’t pay attention. We shook hands, we’re like, ‘Let’s just have fun!’ I mean, literally we lived out our movies. We literally just had a very open conversation.”

Who would have thought these two would be a couple—and they played one on TV years before they even thought of each other that way
