After spending a few years as a bit of a caricature Nicki Minaj is showing off her stripped down/unplugged sound. She was not lying when she said she was going back to her musical roots and that means softening her sound for “Pills N Potions.” Nicki starts the song in a soft whisper before transitioning into her the rap portion of the song. Is this the new softer but still to the point version of Nicki? Althiugh Nicki is by ne means soft as she lyrically kills her opponent with her words…bye bye backstabber.
