Nicki Mianj done broke the internet! Ok not really, but she did smash Miley Cyrus 24-hour VEVO record to pieces with 19.6 million views on her twerkfest video for ‘Anaconda’ within the first 24 hours of its release. Miley’s ‘Wrecking Ball’ came in at 19.3 million views.
Nicki is coming for Miley…hopefully the ladies will be civil since they are sitting near each other at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards. Nicki explained why her song, ‘Anaconda’ means so much to her with ABCNews. “I wanted to reinstate something. Because of the shift in pop culture, even hip-hop men are really glorifying the less curvy body. I wanted to say, ‘Hey ladies, you’re beautiful.’ Hopefully, this changes things and maybe it won’t change things, but I love it.”
Can’t wait to see ‘Anaconda’ go live at the VMAs.
