Oscar Pistorius will face further jail time in the murder of girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp after A South African appeals court overturned a lower court’s conviction of manslaughter in the killing of girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in 2013.

Justice Lorimer Eric Leach of the Supreme Court of Appeal delivered the ruling by the five-judge tribunal in Bloemfontein according to the AP stating, “The accused ought to have been found guilty of murder on the basis that he had fired the fatal shots with criminal intent. The identity of his victim is irrelevant to his guilt.”

Pistorius could face at least 15 years in prison, he is currently on house arrest at the home of his uncle after spending a year in prison and then getting an early release.
