Paul Walker’s mother Cheryl Ann Walker was not granted temporary custody of granddaughter Meadow, 15. A judge denied the petition for temporary emergency custody as he did not see why an immediate change was necessary. Cheryl applied for custody claiming Meadow’s mother, Rebecca Soteros has a drinking problem.” Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner David J. Cowan wrote in a minute order, “ Why is temp guardianship needed? What is urgency?”

Cowan added that Walker attorneys failed to serve papers to Meadow or her mother, Rebecca Soteros and other paperwork to explain a need for a change in guardianship. According to sources the family is willing to work with Soteros and allow her to maintain custody if she goes to rehab. Soteros did get two DUIs, one in 2003 and then in 2013.
