Ray Rice is not longer actively playing football for the Baltimore Ravens after a video surfaced of the assault of his wife. Rice has also been suspended from the NFL as a result of the video that surfaced today showing Rice and his then-fiancee…now wife, Janay Rice getting struck in the face by Rice in an Atlantic City hotel. The incident occurred in February  and shows Janay’s face hitting the wall of the elevator they were riding in and losing consciousness. Rice is seen dragging his wife out of the elevator before being stopped by what looks like a security guard.

TMZ posted the video of the dramatic assault. Rice was charged with third-degree aggravated assault earlier this year and even showed a united front after their first video went public showing Rice dragging Janay in an NJ hotel.”I am working every day to be a better father, a better husband, and just a better role model,” Rice said during a May press conference. “I’m still the same guy, you know. As me and Janay wish we could take back 30 seconds of our life, we definitely sit here today and tell you that we are better parents, we are better lovers, and we’re also better friends after this situation.” Rice was then suspended for two games under the personal conduct policy.
