Have you heard of Julep, that super cute nail polish brand! Well…now they have a nail polish of the month club (similar to JewelMint or ShoeDazzle), called Julep Maven!!  I have really been getting into nail polish lately and I jumped at the chance to try out the Julep’s Maven program. I was sent the Hello Classic with a Twist kit, which came with 6 goodies: Two nail polishes in a shimmery brick red (Nicole) and a neutral mushroom greige (Whitney), Julep’s “Facial For Hands” Glycolic Hand Scrub, a Glitter Pot and two trial hand lotions. Julep nail polishes are free of DBP, toluene, formaldehyde and formaldehyde resin.
So what did I do:
First step I started off by dampening my hands and applying the ‘Facial For Hands’ (the glycolic scrub) and I rubbed that in for a good minute and then I rinsed off and toweled dried my hands. After my hands were dry they instantly felt softer. So then I applied two coats of Nicole, the shimmery brick red and just for fun, I used the glitter pot and and dipped one of my nails into the pot (picture) and I got a cute, fun look for the holidays! My boyfriend asked if I had sprinkles on my nail…men!
So what happened:
I loved the polish, I was left with an even nail color and after 5 days I had just some wear on the tips of my nails. My glittered finger was not so good, the little balls fell off (lol) and I chipped off the rest. But overall a great polish! The polish was still nice and shiny! Then I changed up my nail color to Whitney (mushroom greige) even though I wasn’t too keen on the color because I stay away from neutrals and guess what, I loved it! It made my nails look modern, yet delicate! Cool! The polishes stood up great during my power holiday shopping!
