I recently purchased the Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner (around $10 at drugstores). I am a pencil and liquid liner kinda girl plus I didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg on a gel liner so when I saw an ad for the Maybelline Liner I became excited…a cool gel liner at a good price. I actually paid $8 for the liner because I had a coupon…now to the good stuff…the review…
I applied the gel liner with the brush it came with even though I would prob use another brush, but its good. I did a great cat eye and it came out wonderful! The gel was a good consistency and it glided across my lid wonderfully. Â I used Blackest Black only. I have heard the plum is more of a sheer color instead of being really pigmented.
I did a funny test…the Gel Liner is supposed to last 24 hours so…I slept with the gel liner on. Bad I know…but I had to test it!
Most of the liner stood in place. I lost my “wings†from the cat eye but the liner near my lashes was still intact. And it was a tiny bit smudgy but not much!
The Pros: The packaging is cute and the consistency is great! Very Affordable!
The Cons: Small amount (but it will last for a while if you don’t use every day!), Price is around $10 bucks (but there are some coupons floating around that I have seen plus I would wait for CVS or Walgreens to put it on sale).
I would totally recommend it!
I think I am changed woman…bring on the gel liner!
This is my eye with the liner…lol…! Sorry my brows are out of control!
