Rock star Scott Weiland, 48 found dead on his tour bus his manager Tom Vitorino confirmed to ABC News. The former Stone Temple Pilots frontman was found unresponsive on his tour bus. Weiland had been scheduled to perform in Minnesota his new band, Scott Weiland & The Wildabouts at the time of his death.

 

Police in Bloomington, Minnesota released this statement on Weiland’s death, “On December 3rd, 2015, at 8:22 pm, Bloomington Police Officers responded a hotel in the 2200 block of Killebrew Drive on a report of an unresponsive adult male in a recreational motor vehicle. Officers arrived and determined the adult male was deceased. Identification of the deceased adult male is being withheld pending further investigation. Additional details regarding identity will be provided by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office at a later time.”

The singer reportedly died in his sleep, he famously battled substance abuse for years.
