Sarah Jessica Parker has a new reality show for artists…yea I said artists! I don’t know if SJP will make an appearance on the show or if she is just producing it.The show is called “Work of Art: The Next Great Artist” on Bravo.
According to WSJ,
Bravo today said it plans to start airing Parker’s reality competition for artists, “Work of Art: The Next Great Artist,†at 11 p.m. (ET/PT) June 9. The winner will get a solo show at the Brooklyn Museum and $100,000 cash.
Bravo said 14 artists competed in the show, which filmed last fall in New York.
Judges include art critic Jerry Saltz, Half Gallery owner Bill Powers and art adviser Jeanne Greenberg Rohatyn. The show’s mentor (quick shout-out to Tim Gunn!) is auctioneer Simon de Pury.
Parker’s production company, Pretty Matches, and “Top Chef†producer Magical Elves produced the show and helped Bravo conduct casting calls last summer in New York, Los Angeles, Miami and Chicago.
At least 350 hopefuls turned up for the casting call in New York. Did any make the final cut? Stay tuned.
