Nick Jonas and his on-again, off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez have called it quits, a source confirms to PEOPLE.
Though the couple never publicly confirmed they rekindled their relationship, the source says, “They were an item, but they are no longer together.”
According to the source, the Disney Channel stars, both 17, broke up in early March, largely because work was going to keep them apart: Gomez is scheduled to film a movie in Europe this summer, while Jonas is expected to tour with his siblings at the same time.
